It's April, and so much is happening in the travel industry! Hey y'all, hey! I know it's been a minute since we've met at the corner to chop up travel business, but guess who's back?! It's Keisha, your favorite Travel Agent and Experience Connoisseur, here with a few pro-tips on how to move, when traveling solo...... We’ve all been there—planning the perfect getaway, group chat poppin’, and everybody swearin’ they’re “in for sure!” You hear the classics: “I’m going!” “Say less!” and the forever iconic, “Who all gon’ be there?” 😏 Fast forward a few weeks and somehow... it's just you, solo at the gate, passport in hand and playlist queued. But hey—we never worry over here. Go anyway! ✈️ Solo travel isn’t a backup plan—it’s a bold move toward self-love, clarity, and adventure. According to travel pros (and your girl at K. Crumb Travel😉), it’s one of the dopest ways to grow, glow, and go at your own vibe. #WhyWait #JustGo Things to consider:“But who’s gon’ take my pics though?” 📸 Ahhh yes, the age-old solo travel question! Don’t worry travel buddies, we've got options. The beauty of traveling abroad is that everybody is either on vacay mode or just used to seeing tourists doin’ their thing—so asking a stranger to snap a few flicks? Totally normal! I’ve met some real MVPs this way—folks who helped me find my light and my angles (a few even turned into lifelong travel buddies 🫶🏽). Now, if you're a lil camera shy or just prefer to be your own creative director, no shame in pulling out that trusty selfie stick (or whatever fancy name they go by now 😂). There are tons of budget-friendly options out there, but I gotchu with my personal fave--click here to recommendation Go ‘head and serve looks, even when you're flying solo! HOTEL CARDSHotel cards are a must when traveling to places where you don't speak the language. It's all fun and games until you can't tell your driver what hotel you're headed to. With a hotel card you can simply flash the card to the driver and they typically know where it is or know how to look it up and get you there. There's nothing scarier than being tipsy, feet hurting and you can't describe your final destination. Pick up multiple cards if possible. Trust me, you'll thank me later! Social Media Solo Traveler Groups“No habla… how do I get home again?” 🫠
Listen, traveling where you don’t speak the language? It’s all vibes--until you’re trying to get back to your hotel after a long day (or night 👀), and suddenly… words are hard. Your feet are screaming, you're a lil’ tipsy, and your driver’s looking at you like, “Huh?” Whew, not the time for charades. That’s why hotel cards are a MUST. Grab one (or three!) from the front desk and keep 'em on deck. Just flash the card, and boom—they’ll either know exactly where to go or punch it in with no problem. Crisis averted. ✨ Pro tip from your travel fairy godmother: grab extras and stash them in your purse, wallet, or even your shoe if you have to. You’ll thank me later—probably while cruising back to your hotel, stress-free. #TravelSmart #LostWhere? #KCrumbTravelGotTheKeys For recommendations on some fabulous Caribbean destinations for the solo traveler, hit me up at [email protected] Share

Welcome to Keisha's CornerHere is where we meet to discuss the latest travel news, trends and just to check in with each other. I love the Caribbean culture and enjoy customizing vacation experiences for my clients (Travel Buddies). Don't get it twisted though, I am a California girl (San Francisco Bay Area) to the heart and I represent home base frequently. Archives
